All I ask of a mask are three things: 1) Excellent filtration, 2) a good fit around the edges, fitted to the face to minimize gaps, and 3) have the option of buying a larger size for my larger face. It would be nice if they also remained cool, but I thought that was pushing it. I was happily surprised to find LA Linen's mask is the only one that I have found that meets all these needs.
I have spent $500+ on masks from so many different companies, trying to find the best option. Most were too small, did not offer very good filtration, and/or did not fit the face very well. While cotton masks are better than nothing, they simply do not offer very good filtration, and the stiffness of the fabric leads to inevitable gaps around the face when wearing. Surgical masks are good, but again the problem with the gaps, problems with availability, and most I encountered were too small. And a continuous problem with almost all the other masks was the lack of fit down below & around the chin, so as one talks and moves around the mask rides up or down, constantly needing readjustment.
The first time I put on the LA Linen mask I was so happy! Finally, a mask that fits well! There is enough room in the front that one does not feel like one is trying to struggle to breath through a filter. It is large enough to wrap all the way below & around the chin, so there is no mask riding up or down all day as one talks. The soft trim also allows for a closer fit around the face (minimum gaps) than with stiffer materials. And on top of all that, it does remain just as cool as the disposable surgical masks, which I was not expecting.
Thank you for putting in the time and effort to design a truly superior product!
